The 2013 German Packaging Award saw our direct heat-sealing machine for membranes onto three-piece cans as the most innovative in the category of Packaging machines.
"The 'machine for direct sealing of aluminium foils on tin cans' by the company Gebrüder Leonhardt GmbH & Co KG Blema Kircheis seals the covers of peelable aluminium foil onto tin cans. The machine is highly economical. The significant fuel saving and improved convenience is achieved by the direct sealing of the film onto the can edge without any additional surface such as sealing rings and by energy efficient induction heating. The combination of accuracy and application of 300 pcs / min, the exact positioning of the cover onto the edge, and the tight seal by pressing down using flexible pressing tool is remarkable. The technology can be retrofitted onto other machines." (DVP)
